Life Drawings
In Ngee Ann Polytechnic we had Life drawing classes where a model were to pose and we were to sketch him/her within the given time, some weeks focusing on different parts of the body and some weeks just focusing on shading. some of the drawings range from 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
In Ngee Ann Polytechnic, we were taken to the Zoo once every 2 weeks to draw the animals live. we were only allowed to draw what we could observe and we were discouraged from taking a photo of the animals and drawing it later. For me, I sketched all the animals's positions and key features on the spot, bit added in colour for some of the pieces i was impressed with later on with references.
